The high currents between batteries or the inverter and batteries requires suitably sized dc cable to cope with the maximum current drawn by the inverter, compensating for the efficiency of the inverter as this can increase the system’s designed current rating. The aim is to ensure the dc cable offers the least resistance possible for a more efficient design.
The inverter cable is designed to carry the DC current between the batteries and inverter and if required between multiple inverters. The inverter cable is a multi-strand single core cable with a dual layered rubber insulation coating.
The battery cable is a pre-made cable terminated with colour-coded 8mm lugs. The battery cable has double insulation and are available as 25 mm2 to 70 mm2.
